History
Kernnon was born the youngest of three children to a poor family in an English countryside. His father never had any need of him, the eldest brother being the apple of his father's eye. Truthfully, Kernnon took the brunt of his father's drinking several nights a week until one night after he turned fifteen when he packed up his things and left. He figured that it couldn't be any harder out in the world on his own compared to what his father put him through. And truth be told, he wasn't too far off. Life wasn't easy, but he picked up some skills that made fletching apples or bread from nearby sales carts a little easier on his stomach, and he learned to keep to the shadows and sell information as he could between different groups in the city.
At seventeen, a beautiful woman caught him in the shadows as he listened to an important conversation. Instead of punishing him for his spying, she instead offered him a place in her services. Her services meant he ended up a kept boy, giving the woman everything she craved in every way, from bedroom to using his spying techniques for her now, to also giving her his blood some nights. In exchange he had more food than he could eat, clothes than he could wear, and he wanted for nothing.
Some of her desires were darker than any he could imagine, and he still has scars from them to this day, but he shouldered them because he refused to return to the streets. Despite the scarring and pain he endured, she did always care for him after her pleasure and saw that he rested and healed well.
At twenty-five she decided he was aging much too quickly and turned him into a vampire, gifting him with his immortality and cursing him with a nearly insatiable hunger. It took a few years under her teachings and care to learn how to curb his apatite so he wasn't leaving bodies scattered across the city. Though not long after, a heated argument saw him and his Mistress part ways. With his new found strength and skills, he was no longer the boy she could bend and play with the same way. Instead, she found herself on the receiving end of some of the same pleasure she'd taken out on him and detested him for even trying it.
As the years went on, he kept to himself for the most part. He started companies in different countries, usually trading on his original skill of information and when it was time for his current incarnation to die he'd pass the company to an 'heir' that would allow management to run it without much interference but continued to fund his life. He's amassed quite the fortune, as secrets and information come at quite a cost to those that want it.
Feeding wise, he normally takes on a pet to sate both the hunger for blood and some of his darker wants in the bedroom. He doesn't kill, but they do tend to leave after a while because blood letting can be hard on a human.
Personality
Some would think, coming from the household that Kernnon came from, that he'd have a soft heart and want to care for others that have been abused in similar ways. But he's very much the opposite. He's grown to have a strong hunger to not only not bend for others, but instead take others and bend them to his wants and will, taking from them what he wants whether they really want to give it to him or not.
He's a hard man, who has had a hard life. And one who, usually won't let anyone close, but also doesn't believe that there's anything soft about him anymore.
